The taiko group of the Visalia Buddhist Temple is new and dynamic. Named "Koru Taiko", which means the thunderous sound of Amida reverberating throughout the universe, taiko has its roots in temple life. While traditional and formal in training techniques, Koru Taiko will expand their sound with modern and experimental fusion. Classes are held every Thursday from 7-8:00 PM. The fee is $10 per month for members and $25 per month for non-members. The instructor is Kevin Shojo MacDonald. |
