Do the Older Generations Do Things Differently From the Younger Generations?

Very much so! Remember that much of what takes place at a religious/spiritual facility has a strong cultural base. Take the older Japanese, for example. Many are not as physically expressive as I am. I have to remember their comfort zone and not invade it.

I have found a way to make it all work: I bow to some, I bow and shake hands with others, I shake hands with some, and I hug some. I even kiss some on the cheek. Honoring each person's comfort zone and cultural upbringing is essential to communication.
